Steps 1: Get a hardware called "IDE to USB connector".
Steps 2: Download a Hard Disk Recovery Software from Internet, and install it to another fine PC (not the damaged one)
Steps 3: Take out your laptop's hard disk and connect it to the connector,to the fine PC.
Steps 4: Just recover it, and voila! it's done. Easy peasy. But it might take a long time to process it if your hard disk got a large storage.
Your External Hard disk is not being detected?
No need to rush to nearest shop and buy a new one.
Steps 1: Try to buy a hardware called "IDE to USB connector"instead.
Steps 2: Open the interface of your External Hard Disk
Steps 3: Connect it to your laptop using the IDE USB connector.
If it's still not working, then it's true that you need to change your hard disk.. :p
